My name is Tonya Esperanza, and I’m passionate about taking care of water turtles. I believe they’re lovely creatures that radiate peacefulness around the house. That’s why it’s so important to me to make sure they have everything they need to live a happy and healthy life.
When my husband first suggested getting a water turtle, I’ll admit I was a bit hesitant. But after doing some research, I realized how low maintenance they actually are. And since we already had a fish tank, setting up a turtle tank wasn’t too difficult.
We brought our first turtle home about six years ago, and she’s been such a joy. We named her Shelly, and she loves to swim around and bask in the sun. She’s also really friendly and loves to get some attention 🙂
About a year ago, we decided to get a second turtle. We found a beautiful male turtle at the pet store and brought him home. We named him Spike, and he’s become best friends with She
She’s so active and always seems to be happy. Watching them swim around in their tank is one of my favorite things to do.
It didn’t take long for me to become a “turtle mom.” I started reading everything I could about turtle care, and I made sure to equip their tank with the best filter, heat lamp, and other supplies. I even built them a little ramp so they could easily get in and out of the water.
Our whole family loves our turtles, and we’re so happy we made the decision to get them. If you’re thinking about getting a turtle, I say go for it! They make great pets and are really easy to take care of. Plus, they’re just so darn cute 🙂
Taking care of turtles is something that I’m really passionate about, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. So I hope you found this page helpful, and I encourage you to reach out if you have any questions about turtle care.
